19th annual Chicago Football Classic kicks off Sept. 10

Its this time of year again not only to support Historically Black Universities (HBCUs), which graduate more Ebony students than any other institutions in america, but to accomplish this proudly while experiencing and enjoying the Chicago Football Classic.

This years Chicago Football Classic will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Soldier Field between Central State University Marauders vs. Clark Atlanta University Panthers with 3:30 p.m. when the kick-off time, as outlined by Donna Hodge, executive director within the Chicago Football Classic.

This is our 19th annual Football Classic, said Hodge. We are incredibly proud to be doing this. What needs grown is our empowerment summit during our college fair. It really is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank and Sherman Dodge. Education equals empowerment knowning that means success.

The founders on this historic game are Tim Rand, Everett Rand and Larry Huggins. Hodge said initially William Garth, person who owns the Citizen Newspaper, once was a participant nevertheless the Rand brothers and Huggins, all of whom are incredibly successful businessmen, now run it.

Over the past 19 years, students have received much more than $2 million on the Chicago Football Classic fund.
