For the standard Black student, a vacation in China over summer break is often a dream saved for your wish list possibly even it seems. The Chicago Urban League (CUL) recently welcomed back their fourth band of students coming from a mission trip to China, who had just lived the dream.
Twenty-four students throughout Chicago applied and were chosen due to numerous applications to turn into ambassadors for 2 weeks. Once selected the scholars attended special classes for the Chicago Urban League to immerse them within the Chinese culture, customs and cuisine. Four years of preparing students enables CUL to prep the scholars for the majority of with the cultural differences plus some with the unexpected.
